Chair: Aslihan Kahraman

Aslihan Kahraman holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Istanbul University, Turkey. Her past experiences include DLA Piper, one of the biggest global law firms in the world, where she worked as Projects and Finance Lawyer; YK Legal Istanbul where she worked as Head of Corporate and International Contracts Department; and IC Ictas Construction where she was responsible for the contract management of the company’s infrastructure projects in Africa as a Contract Manager. Besides her legal skills, she is also passionate about Project Management and Business Development. Aslihan has more than 10 publications in different national and international platforms. She is the Chair of the Board of YPIB and Board Member of the Canadian Turkish Youth Platform.

Board member: Hamideh Mahmoodi

Hamideh Mahmoodi won the Student of International Trade Award from the Organization of Women in International Trade OWIT-Toronto in 2019. She holds a Graduate Certificate (with Honour) in International Business Management from Centennial College, Toronto, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) both from Iran. She is an international trade specialist with extensive experience in working in many roles including CEO for corporations such as SADRA, the largest shipbuilding company in Iran. She received the SADRA award of the best employee of 2012.

Board member: Thiago Souza

Thiago Souza is an Applications Engineer with +13 years of experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, and Recycling industries. He is a results-driven and analytical thinker professional with strong leadership and team-building skills. Thiago implemented 5S, ISO 9000, and total quality management programs, standardizing procedures, and increasing quality results. He is focused on conceptual skills, understanding the business strategy, and identifying opportunities for improvements and value creation. Thiago holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and International Freight Forwarding (CIFFA) certifications.

Board member: Nathalia Maia

Nathalia Maia is a passionate and results-driven professional with 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, technology, and research. She holds a Master´s Degree in Medical Sciences and has been recently graduated with honours in Project Management at Centennial College in Toronto. As a person who is driven by the spirit of learning, analyzing, and sharing, she always looks at how to help businesses and people to meet their goals and passions. She is always looking forward to the next challenge!

Board member: Ledia Dervishaj

Ledia Dervishaj holds an MBA from University of Wales (2017) a Bachelor’s degree in Economics Sciences from University of Tirana, and has recently been graduated with honours in International Business Management from Centennial College. She has 15 years of experience in International Trade Finance and Global Transaction Banking and is a certified specialist of Documentary credits, Bank Guarantees, as well as an International Freight Forwarding (CIFFA) certifications. As a proactive Member of International Chamber of Commerce Albania Banking Commission, she has demonstrated quite a large and dynamic history of working in her home country by being part of the largest and the most important companies in Oil and Gas Industry in Albania, dealing with transactions generated by top international banks. Ledia has extensive knowledge on Contract management International Trade Finance rules issued and updated by ICC Paris, as well as commodity shipping and logistics maritime transport in both Upstream and Downstream sectors in Albania and Balkan region. She was nominated for the International Student Award 2019 from OWIT Toronto, Canada.
